Makeup Class with Alawiyah & Fazilah

Makeup class for the mothers on Mother's Day Sunday.
What a way to celebrate, right..... Of course, it was fun & exciting!
With these bunch of kecoh new people i just met who were introduced by a very supportive friend of mine, Muneera. The more kecoh when three of them, combined! Hehehe... (missing Muneera, not in photo)

I shall say no more. Just look at our "makeup table".
Also filled with delicious expensive chocolates & different types of cheese!!

Well, my style of a personal makeup class is to get my participants to be more hands-on. Of course if i'm going to be doing all the practicals, that'll be called a makeover. Right...

So i also love to get them to pour out all (yes, i really mean ALL) their own makeup products. Tell me honestly, how many of your products get untouched? 80%? 50%? Why? Well don't worry. I truly understand why. ;)

I started with:

1. Prime look (all about the skin)
2. Day look (added eyeshadow to their daily makeup routine)
3. Weekend / Night look (created different colored smokey eyes)

Additionally, Alawiyah requested to record a video while i do a quick smokey eye makeup on her daughter. Therefore, we ended the class with a brown, black & blue based smokey eye makeup looks on different faces.

At the end of my personal makeup class, i want my participants to be able to use their own makeup products, achieved their desired look, find solutions or alternatives to their difficulties &.......understanding that PRACTISE MAKES PERFECT. Well even i, myself, am still practising on my own makeup skills. 

I'm so glad they love it. A happy client makes a happy makeup artist too ;)

@InglotSingapore: Aquastic Cream Eye Shadow & New Pressed Powder

Received these beauties today from the great people in Inglot Singapore.
It's their new launched collection & products, called Miss Butterfly, Aquastic Cream Eye Shadow & a new Pressed Powder.

I really wish i had more play time in the store, to do a better & proper swatches but sadly, i had to rush to another location right after. (My Haasband was only waiting for me at the drop-off. Yes that was how rushing it had been for me.)

So what was given to me?
Two Aquastic Cream Eye Shadow & the one new Pressed Powder.
They were so kind to let me choose the shades for the cream eye shadow.
Took me longer than i thought, because all the shades are so beautiful. Metallic & shiny.

I finalized my choices with these two also because I wanted to have something that my clients will like to wear. I mean my clients are like my models, you know, they are going to be part of my portfolios. So there, i have to choose the typical silver & gold based shades.

Shades aside, i love how this Aquastic Cream Eye Shadow is water based YET....strong coverage, long-wearing, crease & smudge proof! Wow. I immediately thought about my sisters & friends who....wants to have eyeshadows on but yet can easily remove it when taking wudhu &....with the applicator, easily reapplying it back on after their prayers. Hey, easily remove with plain water!! Wow. Right?

Next.....is the new Freedom System Pressed Powder Round.
Said to have Vitamin E and Sponge gourd oil restoring natural lipidic film of the skin has soft and creamy texture and transfer resistant.
The pastel look on the powder is so pretty to touch. Okay okay, i will NOT....untouch it. This is a useful powder, i will be using it. ;)

O M G ! See what came in the mail yesterday!! Thank you The.Armoire for I am definitely a fake lash addict! And will always be.... Because I've always believe, whatever kind of makeup or eye makeup look we do - without beautiful lashes, it's just incomplete.

Initially I got myself 2 pairs to give it a try. The moment I tried on 1 pair (that was Elise 2884), I can't deny I was in love!!! No reason not to buy more... Plus the Eid is coming & the more reason to doll myself up in these gorgeous lashes..

Why The.Armoire?

Because they are affordable, or I must 1 of the cheapest in Singapore! And I don't like to wear those plastic-ky fake lashes. You will hate it especially when it starts to get uncomfortable, also when you have both your lashes & color contact lens on... Say no to plastic-ky lashes ok..

Snip & Straight

Having to be back to work a few days after 16 weeks of maternity leave, i am definitely in "need" of a new hairdo. ("Need" because it's too ego to type in "want" instead. Hehe)

Plus having to be with the babyboy & waking up extra early to get ready & sending him to the babysitter & the hot weather is making tying up hair mandatory & holding the portable fan is so neccessary & more & more & more....... 

So that's when suddenly during last night dinner, i told the Haasband that i am just going to a salon (soon) & get it trimmed & rebonded! Just so i don't need so much effort in grooming the hair everyday & use the time to focus on other neccessary things.

I called up the nearest hair salon near my house called the Myeongdong Hair Studio. Said it's SGD 220 for a 3hr session of soft rebonding. I was 30 minutes late to their last slot for the rebonding. Too bad then~

I was thinking of convenience. Like wherever is a good to go, do & head home right after in a flash. Because.....of the baby. Then i remembered having a very cheap haircut before at Snip Avenue plus it's near my new workplace - Bugis.

DO NOT BE DECEIVE with all advertising pasted on any door or wall. Though it's a very much attractive promo but not until you ask "EXACTLY how much it cost to do YOUR HAIR?". That's when they'll say "Your one cannot do the $48 one. Your hair one is $138.80"

Reason being that $48 promo is for "virgin-hair", like those never-do-anything-to-the-hair-before. #rollingmyeyes

Nonetheless, i still did it at Snip Avenue because i feel that $138.80 is far most the cheapest for a salon. And i'm pretty sure all their hairstylists are professionals too despite their pricing. Of cause along the way the will be some "link selling", example like asking you to buy certain hair product or like Ivy (my hairstylist today) did asked me to come back for a Hair Treatment (which cost $58 if i recall correctly) after 1 month of this rebonding.

Due to past experiences whereby i've paid much more for such service but ending up not like how i want it to be, today i've personally told Ivy that i want it straight-straight-give-me-super-straight rebonding ok. Again she mentioned "Soft Rebonding". Well i replied her that i don't care what the term or name is but as long as i can see that my hair is flat & straight. Because previously i had to still use hairdryer or oftenly straightener to flatten it up especially after every shower.

Today took less than 3 hours & wow.....Ivy is good! i can even said she's a great hairstylist. Not only she gave me what i want but she wasn't hard-selling & even polite. Thumbs up, Ivy!

I'm already thinking of when i should come back for the Hair Treatment service Ivy was telling me about... Hhhhmmm...just before Hari Raya sounds good to me. Hehe...
