What makeup do you wear for your sports activities?

Some of you will think that it's unnecessary to wear makeup during your sports activities.
And some of you will wear makeup even when you are doing any sports.
There's no wrong or right way to it. I believe in having reasons to why you're wearing makeup.

For me, I will wear slight natural makeup to cover some flaws, yet letting my skin breathe. Reason is because I like to take photos of myself, of my surroundings & of whatever's happening around me during my sports activities.

Here's a photo of me taken yesterday morning as I was having a training run.

My definition of my own natural makeup during sports is wearing:
1) sunblock - get full protection from the sun, because my face is my asset to my job!
2) concealer - especially for my dark circles on my under eyes & any marks, if needed.
3) eyebrow pencil - to shape & to fill in my brows.
4) eyeliner - only lining on my top eye, most of the time drawn with thin line.
5) lip balm - I hate dry lips, I spend every few hours conditioning my lips.

So, today I'll be featuring 2 out of 5 of the mentioned products I've used.

Product name: M•A•C Pro Longwear Concealer
Retail Price: SGD31
Coverage: Medium to full
Finish: Natural matte
Staying power: Longwearing up to 15 hours
My personal rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
My personal advise: To immediately blend them with your concealer brush as it's play time is quick (will dry on skin if left on too long).

💋 Top Favourite!
Product name: M•A•C Liquidlast Liner Point Black
Retail Price: SGD33
Benefits: Waterproof, smudge proof, flake proof, longwearing
My personal ratings: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
My personal advise: I've used them for swimming, surfing, running, gym workouts & sleeping with it. (Oppsss. Haha!) It's proven to be the best for sports & I can't live without it..

With all these longwearing & waterproof makeups, I'll highly suggest you should be using an oil based or waterproof makeup remover. As to gently remove them effortlessly.

Here's me & my elder sister, after our training run yesterday. I believe makeup helps to live up the look, but of cause not too much of it too.

Try them out, beautiful faces.
You'll be looking as gorgeous even while sweating out ;)

James Molloy Backstage Workshop

What happened on 03 Oct?

October going to be one of the busiest month for makeup artists, hairstylists, fashion stylists, fashion designers & the press. Why? It's Fashion Week! It says week, but it's like for the entire month. Haha....

So we had James Molloy, M•A•C Director of Artistry, APAC to facilitate a 1-day backstage workshop to help equip us more into the busy backstage scenarios.

Summarize photo-video> http://youtu.be/8oQfjbGaqyE

James covered on:
✔ Set Bag
✔ Backstage Etiquette
✔ Body Makeup
✔ Couture Makeup
✔ Male Makeup

It definitely did a good drill into our backstage skills. It's like learning from mistakes, through a chaos.

Scenario no. 1: James made us do body makeup on our models for only FIVE MINUTES with NO ROOM LIGHTS! I have to say it was craaaazzzzyyyy, especially on those who've to cover tattoos & marks!

*Tips:
- have a torchlight!
- work as a team.
- take in consideration the texture of model's skin.
- may have to use 1-2 shades darker for the legs compare to the face.

Here's a video sharing of his body makeup MasterClass > http://youtu.be/-MuhPrNeZvg

Scenario no. 2: With 30 minutes, James got us to do a couture makeup that had luminous skin, minimal makeup with maximum effect, clever highlighting, correcting tricks & a boy brows. In which, we only work with tones of browns.

The hardest time we had on was making the girl's brows look boyish, with texture.

Scenario no. 3: Also with ONLY 30 minutes, our 2nd couture makeup was to create a 90's doll look. Using chromacake, boot black then lip pencil & lipgloss. It looks simply done but oooooh that skateboard-like-shaped eyeliner was the hardest!

Last masterclass, James did a demo on male makeup. Thanks lots, now we're able to break our habits & try new tips & techniques.

The general feeling for male makeup is "Less is More".

That's the end of the workshop with James Molloy. It's been a great experience. I hope to upload more masterclass videos... Til the next blog entry.

When I was at Riri Hearts MAC launch

Hi, beautiful faces.
Yesterday was such a super busy day as we were launching Rihanna's 3rd collection & I was there to exclusively launch the limited editions.

The crowds were flooding in when the store opened at 10am. Met old customers, made new customers & saw familiar faces.

I'm also a fan of Rihanna. Through her music, her style & oooooh look at her skin~

Go look up on Rihanna's makeup artist, Lora Arellano in Instagram @loreleicakes. She is beyond coolness.

Here's some photos I manage to snap yesterday >

A big shout out to all who came to support the Riri Hearts M•A•C with me @ MAC ION Sephora!

A million thanks goes to all of you & hope to spread è loveeeee to those who've yet to grab their gorgeous Riri ❤ MAC.

To those I've not snapped photos with, hope to have those chances next time ;)
